Zurich Insurance Group Ltd. said Thursday that Stephen Moss has been promoted to group head of financial lines and Cyber and that former Munich RE managing director Andreas Schmitt has been named group Cyber Underwriting Manager.
Both managers will assume their new roles on 1 September. And Mr. Schmitt replaces Oliver Delvos.
A company spokesman said Powell and Delvos have decided to pursue opportunities outside of Zurich.
Corvus Insurance Holdings Inc., an Insurtech, said earlier this year that Delvos would join the company this summer as head of International.
In his new role, Mr. Moss, who joined Zurich in 2017 as head of specialities, UK, to be responsible for professional indemnity, directors and officers, financial institutions and mergers and acquisitions. He will report to Hayley Robinson, Group Chief Underwriting Officer and will continue to be based in London.
As Group Cyber Underwriting Manager, Schmitt will work closely with Zurich country offices worldwide to ensure a consistent cyber investigation strategy. He will report to Mr. Moss and be based in Zurich.
Mr. Schmitt was previously Head of Cyber, Asia, at München Re.
