On Wednesday, Zurich Insurance Group announced new leadership for its North American operations and other management changes as it launched a digital services platform.
Kathleen Savio, appointed President of North America 2017, will take on the newly created role of Group Head of Transformation with effect from January 1, 2021, Zurich said in a statement.
She will be succeeded in North America by Kristof Terryn, who is currently the group leader for Zurich. Mr Terryn joined Zurich's Finance Department in 2004 and has held various senior positions within the insurer.
The Swiss insurance company also announced the formation of a global business platform unit, which will be led by current Asia-Pacific CEO Jack Howell from January. 1
The unit will "expand digital services worldwide and create a more intimate connection with its customers and partners," the statement said.
Ericson Chan, CEO of Ping An Technology, a unit of Ping An Insurance Company of China Ltd., will join Zurich on October 1 as CEO of Information and Digital Management and will lead the planning, development and operation of the insurer's technology features and other online efforts.
Zurich also appointed the President of Latin America and the Asia-Pacific Regions.
Tulsi Naidu, who has been head of Zurich's operations in the UK since 2016, will succeed Howell, CEO of Asia Pacific.
Laurence Maurice was named President of Latin America. She joins Zurich from Allianz Partners, where she was CEO of Spain and Southern Europe for the Allianz SE unit. She succeeds Claudia Dill, who is resigning for personal reasons, the statement said.
Zurich also appointed Katja Roth Pellanda as group advisor, as of October 1, 2020. She succeeds Yannick Hausmann, who will be senior advisor to the group CEO Mario Greco, the statement said.
