In Florida, civil servants and owners covered by a workers' compensation policy are covered by a minimum wage. Unless they have a valid exemption from the employees' company, company executives, members of limited companies (LLCs), sole proprietors and partners in a partnership will be charged at least this salary amount for the insurance period.
For 2021, these minimum wages are:
- For company officials and LLC members of contract companies, the minimum wage per employee / member included is $ 26,000 ($ 500 per week). This is an increase of $ 2,600 from 2020.
- For business executives and LLC members of non-construction companies the minimum wage per employee / member included is $ 49,400 ($ 950 per week). This amount is the same as it was in 2020.
- For sole proprietors and partners in all industries the minimum wage is $ 50,500 per year. This is an increase of $ 1700 from 2020.
