It may not seem natural to wear a face mask to protect others from the spread of COVID-19 while on a conference call from the comfort of a home office, but the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources requires it, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
In an email to its employees sent out on July 31, the head of Wisconsin & # 39 ;s DNR not only reminded employees of Gov. Tony Evers' mask order, which takes effect on August 1. He said that every DNR employee must wear a mask even when working from home.
"Also wear your mask, even if you are at home, to attend a virtual meeting that allows you to see – for example on Zoom or another video conferencing platform ̵
A spokeswoman for the department confirmed the demand with reporters, stating that "by wearing a mask during video conferences with the public, we visually remind people that masking is an important part of navigating the activities of natural resources during this tumultuous time."
