Why summer is the best time to buy life insurance

To paraphrase an old song, summer is here and it’s time to … buy a life insurance policy.

Why is it like that? Well, we have some reasons. But there really is no wrong time to get life insurance – for less than what you pay for streaming services, you get coverage that helps ensure that your loved ones will not face financial hardship in the event that you are not around. (Think about it: you pay for everything from mortgages or rent to groceries. Who is responsible for the bill if you can̵

7;t?)

But since summer is here, we thought we should explain exactly why it’s time to stop procrastinating and apply for life insurance.

In this article:

It is hot

And life insurance will keep you cool. Here’s how: Do you know how to sweat when you feel panic and fear? Well, if you have life insurance in place, you have one less thing to worry about – you know your family has financial protection in case the worst happens. Even better, you can get that protection for a monthly fee that is probably lower than what you paid for the latest family’s pizza dinner, or for concessions on the ball field.

Looks? You already feel cooler.

It’s Hot, Part II

If spring or autumn comes, you will indulge in long walks in nature and take in the sight and scents of budding and / or dying leaves. For the summer, however, it is about a / c. And since you are still inside, you can just as easily take a few minutes and apply for life insurance. Thanks to Haven Life’s simple online process, you may be able to get coverage in a few minutes – or approximately how long it takes to cool off from a hot walk around the block.

Summer Fridays

If you’re lucky enough to enjoy a half day off each week (or even a few weeks), you know how easy it is to waste those precious afternoons doomsday scrolling or playing Wordle.

Are you looking for something more productive to do with that time? Try to apply for life insurance. It only takes a few minutes and eligible customers with excellent health can enjoy great prices. For example, a 30-year-old man with excellent health can get a $ 500,000 30-year insurance policy for $ 29.99 per month.

Trust us: Wordle will wait.

Summer vacation

And you know what that means: relaxation, exploration and, of course, an increased risk of death. In 2021, an estimated 42,000 Americans died in a car accident. If you hit the road this summer, there’s a non-zero chance it’s the last car ride you’ll ever take. (What can we say? We spend a lot of time with actuaries.)

But that does not mean there is nothing you can do. Wear a seat belt, for one. For two, consider getting your life insurance squared, so that your family is covered in case something should happen. (See also: Other high-risk summer activities, such as setting off fireworks, swimming in a lake, enduring the bite of a disease-carrying mosquito, suffocating an ice cream …)

It’s snowing

And if you do not have a life insurance policy in place, now is always the best time to change it. After all, you will never be younger than you are right now, and the younger you are, the lower your monthly premium is likely to be. You’re probably also healthier than you ever will be – if the fall, for example, gives an unexpected diagnosis, you’ll probably have to pay a lot more for life insurance, or even struggle to find coverage. Of course we hope it does not happen, but why risk it?

Still not convinced? Get a quote and see for yourself. And then make sure you drink plenty of water, enjoy some hot dogs or vegan dogs and wear plenty of sunscreen. And if it gets too hot, cool off by thinking about the sweet, sweet relief that comes with peace of mind.
