The data management company buys digital platforms

Ontellus, a nationwide full-service provider for medical, billing, employment records and other tort-related data services, announced on Thursday that it has acquired digital platforms INTERTEL and MasterTrace.

The terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

INTERCEL, a St. Louis-based drug company for reconstructions and MasterTrace, a Fort Lauderdale, Florida-based drug provider of drug supply, allows insurance companies to investigate claims and insurance for missing registry data, so they can order, track and obtain information to help insurers discover unknown historical medical treatment data, according to a statement by Ontellus, a Houston-based provider of archive retrieval, medical advertising and tort solutions.

Claims departments and special investigative units use these companies to help combat potential fraud in connection with claims, according to the statement. Catalog
