Gov. Doug Ducey signed legislation on Friday that would allow employers to target care for injured workers and allow the use of mail order pharmacies in compensation for workers.
S.B. 1042, which unanimously passed the State House and Senate in early April, amends workers' compensation provisions regarding reimbursement guidelines for drugs distributed in environments that are not generally available to the public so that workers can receive drugs from mail order pharmacies as long as the medical provider does not receive a discount. , refund, commission or other compensation for the referral. to enter into a separate agreement or network that regulates fees for workers' compensation, in which case the compensation will be in accordance with the negotiated interest rate.
The legislation enters into force immediately.
