Brian Goodman is the highly skilled advisor to the National Association of Public Insurance Adjusters. He also worked tirelessly to get general alignment licensed in Alabama. He has correctly corrected me that general adaptation is not "illegal" in Alabama. Mark the time, I make a correction of this morning's blog.
Like many of you, Brian Goodman reads our blog every day. He had this to say:
Chip … —I get your blog every day and it's great … Today's blog about Alabama is wrong in my opinion. We spent a lot of time training the Alabama DOI & # 39 ;s public adjuster in our efforts to obtain a license a number of years ago. And while our licensing attempts were unsuccessful, we made very positive contacts at the Alabama DOI. Conclusion ̵1; The Alabama department allows p / who work there, ethically … even if they do not license. Our contacts there are Commr Ridling and Reyn Norman and you can contact Reyn to verify this. I just hate to see a post there that says it's illegal … I do not mean anything disrespectful at all in this email and thought I would send it to you. Thanks – Brian
I asked Brian if the Bar Association would prosecute public supporters for giving advice and here's what he said:
Alabama bar was a big problem and was the biggest obstacle to getting a bill made. But if they come after someone p / a, we have coverage from the DOI, which has made it very clear that they will not prevent a correct practice of general adaptation in that state. It's probably always best to work through an atty still in Alabama …
To prevent unauthorized law enforcement, I've heard that public prosecutors will work with licensed Alabama attorneys until the attorneys do the law and the public attorneys do the appraisal and work under the supervision of the lawyer in their business. I have also attached a letter from an Alabama official that Brian sent me as part of this information exchange.
I will talk briefly about this issue this afternoon in our Friday forum at 2. I will also have the lovely and knowledgeable April Hall as a guest who talks about general costs and profits as well as her upcoming seminar, which I will speak at on October 23. Here is the link to that event.
