If you are uninsured in Colorado, you have another opportunity to sign up for health coverage for 2021. Connect for Health Colorado has opened a special registration window that reflects the registration window announced by the Biden Administration for states using HealthCare. gov (DC and 14 states, including Colorado, run their own stock exchanges; the rest of the states use HealthCare.gov).
Colorado & # 39 ;s special enrollment period began February 8 and continues until May 15, 2021. Plans selected under this window take effect the first month after registration.
The registration window is available to anyone who is currently uninsured. It includes people who do not have ACA-compliant health coverage, such as fixed compensation plans, health care sharing plans or direct primary care plans. Uninsured Coloradans do not need a qualifying event to be able to use this special registration period.
Premium subsidies and cost-sharing reductions are available through Connect for Health Colorado, and individuals applying for coverage during this special enrollment period may receive financial aid if eligible.
