Revisions to Cal / OSHA temporary emergency standard are revoked

The California Board of Occupational Safety and Health Standards Board voted unanimously Wednesday night to withdraw revisions of the California Division of Occupational Safety and Health & # 39 ;s COVID-19 emergency standard seven days after they were approved.

On June 3, the Board unanimously approved the audits of the ETS, which entered into force on December 1, 2020, following a controversial nine-hour meeting; these audits were then sent to the Office of Administrative Law for review.

The special meeting on Wednesday was held to consider the latest masking guidelines from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the California Department of Public Health, Cal / OSHA said in a statement.

The Board stated that it will consider new revisions at a future meeting, possibly as early as the scheduled meeting on 1
