Barry Zalma, Esq., CFE, a certified fraud examiner and a retired insurance attorney and active expert on insurance claims, coverage and insurance fraud, has just published a fictional novel about how a thorough investigation defeated a $10 million insurance fraud attempt when a jeweler tried to defraud underwriters at Lloyd’s, London by creating a false $10 million inventory with the help of a less-than-honest accountant and public adjuster.
