On Tuesday, Mosaic Insurance Holdings Inc. appointed Jon Hutchens, a former partner at the law firm Dentons, as senior vice president, global tax chief, in its U.S.-based transactional liability insurance.
Based in Virginia, Mr. Hutchens will report to William Monat, vice president, global head of transaction responsibility at Mosaic.
Mr. Hutchens will lead the tax insurance guarantee and decisions on tax risks in North America, the United Kingdom, Europe and the Asia-Pacific region, Mosaic said in a statement.
Mr. Hutchen's previous work as a tax lawyer focused on cross-border transactions and structures, including mergers and acquisitions, restructuring and expansions. He has also advised issuers on the treatment of financial instruments and advised insurers on tax risks in connection with special policies.
Mosaic launched its transaction coverage in the US in July, amid an increase in M&A operations. [1
