McGriff Insurance Services LLC said Monday that Michael Welz has been named senior vice president and national practice leader for the firm’s senior housing practice and Rafael Araujo has been named director of projects and public-private partnerships construction risk management in McGriff’s national construction practice.
Mr. Welz joined McGriff in March 2022 from Lockton Cos. LLC where he supported clients across the senior living industry within the healthcare industry. McGriff senior living has 45 employees and “is a major focus area for McGriff,” Patrick Maguire, national director of McGriff, said in a statement.
Araujo, who is based in Miami, was most recently senior vice president of Aon PLC in its construction and infrastructure business. He will lead McGriff̵
7;s construction risk management group, the statement said.McGriff Insurance Services LLC is a subsidiary of Truist Insurance Holdings LLC.
