Marsh & McLennan Cos. Inc. on Wednesday named Flavio Piccolomini as CEO of Marsh McLennan International and Pat Tomlinson as CEO of the US and Canada, in newly created roles.
Both will report to Martine Ferland, President and CEO of Mercer LLC, a consulting unit within Marsh McLennan, and Martin South, President and CEO of Marsh LLC, its commercial brokerage unit.
Mr. Piccolomini and Mr. Tomlinson will lead an effort across its four businesses to address clients’ interconnected risk needs, Marsh McLennan said in a statement.
Mr Piccolomini, based in London, was most recently president of Marsh’s international division.
Tomlinson, based in New York, most recently served as president of the US and Canada for Mercer.
Both previous roles have been eliminated.
Marsh McLennan consists of four companies including Marsh, Mercer, its reinsurance broker Guy Carpenter & Co. LLC and the consulting firm Oliver Wyman.
