Marsh, Axa XL launches usage-based auto policy

Marsh LLC and Axa XL on Wednesday launched a usage-based auto policy to meet the needs of US companies that use individual drivers as employees or players as independent contractors to deliver the same day under COVID-19. [19659002] The tailor-made policy per mile is designed to deal with the problems that arise when a driver's own vehicle is used to make these deliveries.

With the delivery PRO policy, Marsh customers can purchase at least $ 500,000 in exclusive third parties. bodily injury and property damage auto injury capacity from Axa XL.

Coverage is available over at least $ 500,000 of self-insured storage for their leased and non-owned delivery exposures, Marsh and Axa XL say in a joint statement. [1

The premiums are based on the number of miles run for the delivery, which means that insurance costs can be scaled with the growth of a company, Marsh and Axa XL said.

Payment Per Claim, Third Party Claim Management Services, and Damage Consulting are also available.

“Many companies have had to increase their existing delivery services or convert from personal sales to on-demand deliveries overnight as a result of the global pandemic. Even when the crisis is over, deliveries in the last mile are likely to continue to grow, "Robert Bauer, head of Marsh's US economy and mobility division, said in the statement.
