Efma-Accenture Innovation in Insurance Awards Returns to North America November 6, 2019

North American Insurance Companies: It's time to enter your visionary new opportunities for the Efma-Accenture Innovation in Insurance Awards. Last year we saw the awards extended to a truly global initiative. While the main ceremony will be held in Amsterdam on June 24, we will once again host a regional ceremony, this year in Chicago, to highlight innovative innovation here in North America. The venue will be announced soon.

2019 marks the fourth annual award, which recognizes insurance and bank insurance companies and insurtech's innovative over six categories. A North American innovator will also be assigned to submit at least three innovations across the categories. Last year, the USAA won this award award for promoting a collaborative and creative corporate culture and launching several programs that encourage innovation across the organization.

The global award categories were updated this year to reflect the changes we have seen in the industry. Last year, we recognized an increase in innovation, as more insurance companies are turning into becoming "living companies" customer-centered organizations that evolve and adapt to changing markets in speed and scale.

9, to enter this year's awards . Here are the six categories:

Connected Insurance & Ecosystems: This is a newly created category and will award innovative methods that generate new business models and scalable end-to-end value bills that leverage the power of partnership. platforms and things in the internet. Munich Reinsurance America won a North American award for LossDetect ™ last year, a custom technology-driven risk management solution to reduce customer automation losses and prepare for future mobility.

] Nuclear Insurance Transformation: This new category will assign insurers who have made significant improvements to their guarantees, claims or other processes through improved automation , predictive / behavioral model, artificial intelligence or other advanced technology.

Customer experience: Innovations that improve the insurer's relationship with their customers qualify for this category. Last year, MetLife US took home a prize for its real-time customer service coaching program, Cogito, which uses artificial intelligence to help phone-based representatives be more confident and empathetic when engaging with customers.

Product and service Innovation: This new category will recognize innovations that improve, extend or replace the traditional insurance offering, which serves new or existing customers in new ways .

Labor Transformation: This new category looks at how people and machines work together in the workplace. Innovators have successfully gathered people, culture, leadership, organization and technology to redefine how they work.

Insurtech: actuarial startups who are stage-financed, have a marketing release proposal and / or have completed a successful marketing certificate for concepts will be recognized for the innovation that they bring to industry. Last year, Traity took home this award in North America for Trustbond, insurance guarantees that help gather data on customer reputation from various sources and replace the traditional rental fee with a security requirement.

Submissions are evaluated by a jury of insurance personnel based on three criteria: originality, influence and universality – adaptability of innovation in different markets and countries. North American insurance companies have the potential to be recognized at both the global and North American ceremonies.

More than just a prize giving

The awards ceremony is an excellent opportunity to collaborate with other industry leaders and share ideas with a peer audience. Last year, final nominees in two categories delivered five-minute seats, and contestants voted for the winners. I had the honor to present insurance trends and the changed insurance landscape. How to enter

There is no registration fee for Efma-Accenture Innovation in Insurance Awards and no limit on how many innovations you can submit. You can enter via the Innovation in Insurance portal. You will need:
