Ironshore Specialty Insurance Co., a Liberty Mutual Insurance unit, said Wednesday it is introducing Digital Health, which provides primary professional liability, general liability and technical errors and omissions through a single form with the option to include cyber and product liability including cyber and products liability protection.
The product, which is intended for telemedicine providers as well as video consult physicians, offers primary limits of $1 million per event/$3 million aggregate and excess limits of up to $5 million, according to Ironshore.
It is designed for health care and consultation delivered electronically via video as well as for virtual physical therapy, counseling, staffing and home health care, according to the Boston-based insurer.
“There is a need in the market for a single form that provides a comprehensive solution for a broader range of coverage needs for healthcare providers that have some component of telemedicine,”; said an Ironshore spokesperson.
Depending on policyholders’ other coverage, this may not be covered by their existing medical malpractice coverage, he said.
Digital Health is available to both wholesale and retail brokers.
