Liberty Mutual Insurance Co. Monday announced new leadership including the promotion of Tim Sweeney to the newly created position of corporate president.
Mr. Sweeney will oversee the company's three business units – Global Risk Solutions, Global Retail Markets and Liberty Mutual Investments. He will report to Liberty Mutual Insurance Chairman and CEO David Long.
Jim MacPhee succeeds Mr Sweeney as CEO of Global Retail Markets. He will report to Mr Sweeney.

Neeti Bhalla Johnson was named President of Global Risk Solutions, after Dennis Langwell, who retires in late 2021. Johnson will run the company's commercial business unit for special insurance and report to Sweeney.
Ms. Bhalla Johnson was previously President and Chief Investment Officer of Liberty Mutual Investments.
Mr. Langwell will be an advisor to Vice President of Liberty Mutual Insurance Operations until the end of the year and report to Mr. Long.
Vlad Barbalat succeeds Johnson as President and Chief Investment Officer of Liberty Mutual Investments. He will report to Mr Sweeney. Mr. Barbalat was previously CEO and Co-Head of Strategy and Asset Allocation for Liberty Mutual Investments.
All appointments take effect on July 1
