Liberty Mutual Insurance Co. on Thursday promoted Matthew Moore as president of underwriting at its Global Risk Solutions division and previously named Travelers Cos. Inc. manager Susanne Figueredo Cook as chief operating officer of the unit.
The newly created services will take effect on May 2, and both executives will report to Neeti Bhalla Johnson, who last year was named president of Global Risk Solutions, which includes the insurance company’s medium to large commercial operations.
Previously, London-based Mr. Moore President of Liberty Specialty Markets. He will be succeeded by Phil Hobbs, Vice President of the Specialty Unit. Figueredo Cook was senior vice president and global operations manager at Travelers.
In a statement, Bhalla Johnson said: “We have made progress in cooperating throughout our business, but we realize that more work needs to be done.”
;The new appointments are part of the unit’s integrated business model designed to make it easier for brokers and policyholders to access the insurer’s offers and expertise, she said.
David Perez, chief underwriting officer at Global Risk Solutions, will remain in his position until he retires at the end of June.
