The Illinois House of Representatives and the Senate have reviewed the cannabis regulation and the tax law, H.B. 1438, legalization and regulation of production, consumption and sale of recreational cannabis.
Approved on Friday, the law was introduced on January 1, 2020, pending Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker's signature. The governor's office is now working on a schedule for this, said an office spokesman in an email.
