The lazy days of summer are not so lazy for many working Americans.
At risk of falling behind at work, 82% of them admitted that they worked on vacation, according to a recent survey by myperfectresume.com.  The CV Counseling website surveyed 1,000 holiday workers and other leisure habits and found that many packed their workloads into their night bags along with swimsuits and sunscreen.
Of the respondents, 70% said that they answered calls from customers or colleagues on holiday and 42% take vacation days specifically to do work. But the trend does not end with holidays: 75% of respondents say they have worked on parental leave and 40% of respondents have worked on sick leave.
