HGTV show and entrepreneur sued for fuzzy work

An adventure in the Las Vegas couple in the reality show "Property Brothers" 2018 got a reality check with alleged fuzzy work and code violations, according to a Monday report on KTNV.

The couple, Paul and Mindy King, and their new home, were featured on the HGTV show "Property Brothers", starring Jonathan and Drew Scott, a duo for real estate and home repairs who have entertained dream enthusiasts for several years.

The Kings' dream came true, they say, and they are now suing construction company Villa Construction and production company Cineflix Inc. for design issues ranging from simple cosmetic fixes, such faulty backsplash designs and failed baseboards to potential dangers, according to the report.

Brother Jonathan Scott made the following statement: “The Real Estate Brothers … are not named (in) the lawsuit … The Kings have rejected … reasonable attempts to remedy the remaining punch list items in King's home. Instead, in what appears to be an attempt to secure a significant monetary settlement, the kings have launched a negative publicity campaign against the brothers. It is unfortunate that the kings have resorted to such behavior.
