A former Las Vegas nightclub and a management services company have agreed to pay $ 1 million to settle a sexual harassment lawsuit filed with the U.S. Commission for Equal Opportunities, the agency said Monday,  EEOC said in a January 2017 indictment that SBEEC Holdings LLC, which operated like Hyde Bellagio, subjected female applicants and employees to sexual harassment and created a hostile work environment. The prosecution also claimed that the nightclub engaged in illegal retaliation. The Los Angeles-based Spoonful Management LV LLC was also named.
The EEOC said the alleged conduct violated Section VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
The indictment was resolved through the EEOC's administrative conciliation process, the agency said.
Hyde Bellagio agreed to enter into a three-year settlement agreement with the EEOC without acknowledging responsibility, the agency said. among other conciliation provisions, the EEOC said.
