Last week I had the pleasure of meeting Scott and Amy Newcomer, the founders and power behind ATI Training. For over 30 years, the newcomers have been helping home inspectors learn the industry and become qualified, not just certified. The newcomers realized the potential for transition between home inspection and public adaptation worlds and expanded the ATI training program to include training of public adjusters.
As part of the ATI training program, new and potential public adjusters can expect to learn more about:
- Claims review – public adjusters learn to review their customers' policies, examine technical details, and identify potential opportunities or barriers to damages .
- Requirements preparation ̵
- Claim Software – Public Adjusters will learn how to use Xactimate estimation software.
- Relationship building and marketing – public adjusters learn how to communicate effectively with their customers, explain findings and create practical solutions to secure the best settlements.
In addition, public adjusters will receive state-specific test preparation materials and live field training.
With the increase in insurance claims due to severe weather throughout the country, this is a great opportunity for those interested in becoming public adjusters or current public adjusters who are interested in honing their skills.
