Under normal circumstances, staying active during the fall can be a challenge. After all, it is hibernation. There are fewer hours of daylight. The colder weather means that you are more likely to curl up with a hot drink than to warm up with a few biceps curls. And for busy parents, there is the extra stress of taking the kids to school and a variety of leisure plans, while managing your own work schedule. Cut out time for a workout? No thanks.
And on top of all that, it's 2020. These are, of course, hardly normal circumstances. Thanks to the global pandemic, many of us spend our hours at a distance while juggling our children's virtual learning schedules, with little time left for physical activity.
That being said, the best relief for our elevated levels of stress may be getting the blood pumping, even if the days get shorter and the air gets colder. In fact, as the weather fluctuates from sharp-and-perfect-to-be-out-to-cold-and-back again, parents need a range of training strategies for themselves and their families who will work outdoors and indoors.

If you are alone …
Exercise can play different roles in human life. Maybe you do it because you want to feel better or look better ̵

If you are with your family …
… and outside
Because of Covid, when parks and playgrounds are often closed, many of us lack time outdoors, and that applies especially to children. Family Hiking in Nature and Strolling with My Family are two different walks from Jaime, both of which involve games that encourage your children to notice things in the outside world, whether they are "outside" "means the forest or just a walk around your neighborhood. Both walks are between six and ten minutes, so they are perfect for busy parents or cold days when the kids want to be out, but not for long.

When autumn becomes winter, there may be days when the outdoors is no longer so, well, good. On these occasions, Amanda's Family Fun Energy Booster and Jamie's Family Fitness Challenge are great ways to help your children unleash in a controlled, productive way, while providing an activity that the family can do together (no equipment involved). Both workouts lead your crew through a series of bodyweight strength exercises and heart-pumping activities such as jumping jacks. Try to remember: jumping jacks feel like punishment for adults, but children find them fun.

Aaptiv recently launched video training, which can be good if you want to do a workout that requires some precision, such as yoga. Casey takes you through a 12-minute bodyweight workout that includes boxing, footwork and fast movements to raise your heart rate and get your metabolism moving. Extra useful when dealing with a season known for large meals and small (but large amounts) of sweets.
