With the easing of COVID restrictions and preparations for more people in the office, the safety of our employees and customers was extremely concerned. One of the HVAC customers we consulted was Chambers Mechanical (CMC). With over 20 years of experience in heating, air conditioning and plumbing, the company does everything from installation and maintenance to replacement. We spoke with co-owner Greg Graham of CMC to talk about the company's history, the importance of air purification programs and how preventative maintenance can save homeowners time and money.

Keller-Brown: How did you get started? What makes your business unique?

Greg Graham: Since I first started in the industry 20 years ago, I always wanted to own a plumbing company. When I met Greg Chambers, he saw the ambition and love I have for this trade and wanted to help me fulfill my dream. Seven years later, we have built a fantastic family business. We have wonderful employees and customers and without both we would not be here. We are very blessed.

Keller-Brown: Describe your purification system as what you put in our office.

Greg Graham: We have installed many air purification units since COVID. They really help with air quality by removing chemical fumes, odors, mold, bacteria, viruses, pet damage, spores, dust mites and allergens. They are definitely beneficial for your respiratory system.

Keller-Brown: What are some tips for both homeowners and business owners on preventative maintenance?

Greg Graham: Preventive maintenance of your heating and cooling systems is a must. It will help prevent breakdowns on the hottest and coldest days and identify problems before leaving you stranded. How can they be prevented?

Greg Graham: Some of the most common repairs we make this season are low-charge AC units, bad capacitors and broken fan motors. Preventative maintenance can catch all of these problems before they cause problems.

Keller-Brown: What are some of your local favorite companies and why?
