Chubb Ltd. appointed Drew Spitzer as treasurer on Friday and replaced Mark Hammond, who is leaving the company. Kevin Harkin will succeed Mr. Spitzer as Chief Financial Officer of North America Insurance.
Both appointments are March 1.
Mr. Spitzer will report to Peter Enns, Vice President, Chubb Group, and CFO of the insurance company.
As CFO of Chubb's North American operations, Mr. Harkin to report to John Lupica, Vice President, Chubb Group, and President, North America Insurance and to Mr. Enns. Mr. Harkin currently serves as senior vice president, North America's financial operations.
Mr. Hammond will stay with Chubb until March 1, said the insurer.
Mr. Spitzer started at Chubb, then Ace Ltd., in 2006 as senior vice president and deputy chief accountant and has more than 25 years of experience in finance, accounting and insurance. Prior to serving as CFO of Chubb's North American operations, he was CFO of Combined Insurance, its subsidiary for personal accidents and supplementary health care.
Mr. Harkin, who started at Ace in 2007, has held various financial roles at the insurance company and has more than 20 years of experience in business administration and accounting.
