The Charles Taylor Group, a London-based global insurance market services and technology solutions provider, announced on Tuesday that it has acquired Aegis Corp., a Brookfield, Wisconsin-based mutual management and third-party claims administrator.
The terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
The addition of Aegis strengthens Charles Taylor's ability in mutual management and claims and also builds the company's ability to serve public entities, said Rob Brown, CEO of Charles Taylor, in a statement. "This acquisition is in line with our Group-wide strategy and provides us with the size, expertise and capacity to accelerate the rapid growth of our US operations." management programs focused on the unique needs of public entities and municipal organizations. The company includes about 45 employees who oversee insurance programs and handle claims for about 200 customers with $ 350 million in annual premiums under management, according to the statement.
Charles Taylor's existing team includes more than 3,000 professionals worldwide. Aegi's customers will have access to Charles Taylor's complete package of global liability, insurance management and technical solutions, according to the statement.
