The Alabama Captive Insurance Association on Monday said its annual conference will take place in person from September 16-18 in Birmingham, with COVID-19 security protocols in place.
All participants will be fitted with filter masks every Conference Day and all meeting places will be set up with social distance guidelines, the ACIA said in a statement.
Hand cleaners will also be provided throughout the arena, and hotel staff will help distribute all food and beverages, including buffets, contactless, the association said.
A "no-touch" conference greeting will also be conducted, it said.

The annual conference drew about 65 to 70 attendees last year, but expects the number to double this year, as it expands enrollment to include risk management insurance students and government officials and to offer continuing education sessions, a spokeswoman said in an email. 19659002] The conference will be held at the Westin Birmingham Hotel & Resort in the center.
