Broker Launches Division Prisoners | Business insurance

AHT Insurance has set up a captivity program department and hired Mark Tabler, a senior healthcare executive, as head of operations, the broker announced Wednesday.

AHT Insurance, the trade name for Leesburg, Virginia-based Armfield, Harrison & Thomas Inc., will provide consulting services and catch-up services for single parents, segregated prisoners, risk retention groups and microcaptives, the broker said in a statement.

In addition, it has contracted with Oxford Risk Management Group, a Sparks, Maryland-based entity from Risk Strategies Co. Inc., which offers group services, says the statement.

Mr. Tabler, who was named global captive practice leader for AHT, was most recently CEO of Genesis Re Inc., a medical stop-loss prisoner.

"As we enter 2021

and 2022, the uncertainty in the commercial market provides many opportunities for us to provide customers with an alternative solution," Tabler said in the statement.

AHT is the 65th largest broker for American business, according to Business Insurance latest ranking. [19659002]
