Bonnie Boone, a longtime brokerage executive and leader of diversity efforts in the insurance industry, has joined New York-based brokerage firm JP West Inc. as vice president and partner.
Boone, who is based in the Chicago area, was most recently vice president, healthcare, at Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. Previously, she held senior positions at Marsh LLC, Alliant Insurance Services Inc. and Willis Towers Watson PLC, among other companies.
JP West, a privately held brokerage founded by President and CEO Eileen Frank in 2000, specializes in placing insurance for municipalities, commercial companies and non-profit organizations. Boone said her responsibilities include broadening the company̵7;s client base and strategy.
Ms. Boone was one of the 2008 Business insurance Women to Watch and in 2015, to mark the program’s 10th anniversary, was awarded an Impact Award by the publication for her exceptional contributions to diversity and inclusion in insurance.
In 2021, Boone was named one of the 100 Most Influential African American Business Leaders by the National Diversity Council.
Additionally, JP West named Traci Adedeji vice president of personal lines. Most recently, she was an underwriting manager at the Automobile Insurance Plans Service Office in Johnston, Rhode Island.
