It seems it will be up to the judge if this lawsuit has wings.
A Chicago man has filed a false advertising lawsuit against chicken wing chain Buffalo Wild Wings, saying the boneless wings are overpriced non-wings that are essentially chicken nuggets.
Aimen Halim claims the boneless wings are just “slices of chicken breast meat fried like wings,” and that customers would either pay less for the boneless wings or not buy them if they knew what the product was made of, Fox News reported.
“This clear case of false advertising should not be allowed, because consumers should be able to trust the simple meaning of a product’s name and get what they are promised,”
; according to the complaint, which was accessed by FOX Television Stations. In response, Buffalo Wild Wings seems to be going wild with the allegations: “It’s true,” the restaurant chain tweeted on Monday. “Our boneless wings are all white meat chicken. Our burgers contain no ham. Our buffalo wings are 0% buffalo.”
