A Connecticut bill would protect workers who are disciplined, knowingly wrong, or discouraged from filing a workers' compensation claim.
S.B. 1002, introduced on Thursday, would allow workers who were disciplined or misinformed about their right to sue their employer or file a complaint with the chairman of the State Workers' Compensation Commission. an assumption of compensation for key workers who died or were unable to work due to COVID-19 from the beginning of the public health situation in the state on March 10, 2020. Key workers included in the legislation include police, firefighters, emergency medical technicians, employees in the correctional department in health care and personnel care.
