Applied Underwriters Inc. said on Tuesday that it will reuse Texas Insurance Co. to expand its surplus and surplus functions to support the company's truck program and other divisions.
In addition to expanding Texas Insurance's E&S capacity, which it acquired in 2015, the Omaha, Nebraska-based insurance company said it has completed its acquisition of Oklahoma Property and Casualty Insurance Co. It is said to have received all the necessary regulatory approvals from the Oklahoma Insurance Department for its North American Casualty Co. acquisition of OP&C.
The terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
Applied Underwriter President Jamie Sahara said in a statement that the insurer will strengthen OP&C to write accepted deals in the south central region.
Applied Underwriters said earlier this month that it had completed its acquisition of Sarasota, Florida-based Centauri Specialty Insurance Co. and Centauri National Insurance Co.
