Answer the call through customer service



Shortly after completing my undergraduate education, my husband and I studied back to my hometown where I worked as a server at a local restaurant. Even though I had just started primary school, I was beyond ready to put my apron and look for a stable full-time job. When I saw a customer service stand open at Central, it was a no-brainer; I had to apply! Long story short, I got the job and started my career in the insurance industry and what joy it has been!

I love to work as a customer service correspondent. I get to work with a fantastic group of people who help and encourage me every day. My department is quite small, so we are a close group that always have fun together.

Almost 90% of my day is spent on a phone that helps our customers and agents. In our field, the customer is always the first priority. I do everything I can to help them if it explains their invoice, handles a payment, or submits a claim. I have to live out the Central's mission to fulfill the promise to provide security, protection and peace of mind to our customers every day and it is so rewarding.

I also participate in other organizations within central activities such as gathering ideas for social media and writing blogs. I like to be a part of these groups because it enables me to interact with people outside my department, while they can get to know me on a personal level.

It is hard to believe that a year ago I lived in another city, worked crazy hours as a server, and now I have this amazing job for an incredible company in my home town. I look forward to seeing where my career in the insurance industry can take me.
