In the Android vs. iPhone user war, there’s now this: iPhone users are the losers when it comes to ordering from popular meal delivery app DoorDash.
That’s according to a proposed class-action lawsuit filed against DoorDash by an iPhone user in Maryland who claimed he’s paying more in delivery fees than Android users — a theory that’s making its way through TikTok, popular site for smartphone battles.
In a video with 2.3 million views, a legal analyst with the screen name “Attorney Angela” showed screenshots from the complaint, including two Chick-Fil-A orders where an iPhone user was charged $1 more than an Android user.
Commentators were convinced that they had seen the same scenario and deserve compensation in the litigation proceeds. “As an avid DoorDash customer, that means they owe me about $1,425,737.56,” one said.
A spokesperson for DoorDash told reporters that the lawsuit is “without merit” and that the company discloses all fees when ordering.
