Leadership changes and managerial appointments continue to arouse great interest among Business insurance readers, ranked prominently in the most read stories over the years.
Marsh & McLennan Cos. Inc.’s announcement that it had promoted two executives to newly created senior leadership roles is a case in point.
In June, the world’s largest brokerage said Pat Hagemann had been named chief of staff for the COO office, while John Jones was named the company’s chief marketing and communications officer.
Hagemann was previously chief administrative officer of Marsh LLC, Marsh McLennan’s prime brokerage arm, while Mr. Jones was previously marketing manager for Marsh.
The story of the senior leadership promotion at Marsh McLennan was the fourth most read risk management story of Business insurances website 2022.
Ms. Hagemann and Mr. Jones will report to John Doyle, CEO and COO of Marsh McLennan, who is slated to take the helm of the company as president and CEO from January 1
. He will succeed Daniel S. Glaser, who is retiring at the end of the year.Mr. Doyle had been appointed to his current titles in January this year, after serving as president and CEO of Marsh, starting in 2017.
