2020 American Insurance Award winner revealed



Corporate Insurance on Thursday announced the winners of the US Insurance Awards 2020 during a virtual award ceremony.

The highlight of the event was the presentation of the Lifetime Achievement Award to Kevin H. Kelley, retired vice president of Liberty Mutual Insurance Co.'s global risk management business and former CEO of Ironshore Inc. and Lexington Insurance Co.

In addition, teams of professionals from across the industry were honored for specific projects with which they collaborated in commercial insurance.

Finalists in 14 categories were selected by Business Insurance staff from more than 170 nominations.

The winners were selected by a panel of more than 50 risk managers who independently judged each of the finalists.

The awards, which began in 2017, also raise money to support the Business Insurance Scholarship . This scholarship, administered by the Spencer Educational Foundation, aims to open up new opportunities to offer scholarships to risk management and insurance students, as well as scholarships to support risk management and insurance programs, and to develop programming at universities without risk management programs, including HBCUs.
