2. Vaccine mandate created concern over compreg registers

Near the middle of the year 2021, the demand for covid-19 vaccinations stopped in the United States, which led some employers to see vaccine mandates as the only way to get all their employees to roll up their sleeves.

The experts were quick. to point out – again – that during such mandates, injuries or illnesses reported by employees of the vaccine can lead to compensation claims for workers and recordable incidents in the occupational safety administration's logs.

With the stakes so high, the issue of mandate vaccines got a lot of attention on Business Insurances website 2021, including this year's second most read story for workers' companies.

By May, several medical institutions had begun issuing mandates, with the Houston Methodist Hospital System as the first to say that it would require its 26,000 employees to be vaccinated against covid-1

9 or subject to suspension and / or dismissal. Other institutions followed, with several – such as the Houston Methodist – facing lawsuits from employees who argued that the mandates could potentially jeopardize their health because covid-19 vaccines were so new.

In late May, OSHA changed course and said that it would no longer require employers with mandatory vaccination programs to register vaccine reactions.
